An adhan speaker (sometimes written as azan, azaan, or athan speaker) is a dedicated device that plays the Islamic call to prayer at the correct times, five times a day, automatically. Unlike phone apps or smart speaker workarounds, it works independently and reliably, without depending on your phone being charged, connected, or in the right room.

No app is required. Mini Adhan is set up and configured entirely through a web browser on any phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing to download and no account to create. Just open the page, choose your settings, and you're done.

We may introduce a companion app in the future to make certain things even easier, but the device will always work fully from a browser.

Mini Adhan takes over completely. It fetches fresh prayer times each day, waits for each salah, and plays the adhan through its speaker at the right moment. You don't need to open anything, press anything, or check anything. It just runs.

If the clocks change, it adjusts. If prayer times shift with the seasons, it adjusts. The whole idea is that you set it up once and then forget about it. It quietly does its job in the background of your home, every single day.

Mini Adhan supports over 15 calculation methods, including ISNA, MWL, Karachi, Umm Al-Qura, and the Moonsighting Committee. Both Hanafi and Shafi'i schools are supported for Asr. For most families, choosing the same method your mosque uses will give you times that closely align.

If your mosque still runs a few minutes differently on certain prayers, you can fine-tune with offsets. You can set an offset per prayer (for example, +3 minutes on Isha only) or apply a global offset across all five. This way, Mini Adhan automatically adjusts every day without you having to enter times manually. Entering your mosque's timetable by hand would mean updating 365 days of times, and your mosque likely changes their schedule seasonally anyway. Offsets handle all of that in one setting.

Mini Adhan uses WiFi to fetch prayer times, but it doesn't need to be connected every day. It can pre-fetch up to a full year of prayer times in advance and store them locally, so once it has your data, it keeps working with or without a connection.

A full offline calculation mode is also in development, which will compute prayer times on the device itself with no internet required at all.

Most adhan clocks work from a pre-programmed city list, have small speakers, and are set up using tiny buttons on the back. Mini Adhan calculates prayer times for your specific location, matches your mosque with per-prayer offsets, lets you set a quieter volume for Fajr if the kids are sleeping, plays full recitations from real reciters, and is configured from any browser in under two minutes. It also looks like something you'd want on your shelf, not hidden behind a door.

Smart speaker solutions typically require your phone to stay on the same WiFi network, depend on third-party apps that can break with updates, and sometimes need a computer running in the background. Mini Adhan is purpose-built: plug it in once, set it up in two minutes, and it plays the adhan every day on its own. No routines to configure, no skills to enable, nothing to maintain.

No. Mini Adhan has no microphone, no camera, and no always-listening capability. It is a speaker only. It does not collect personal data, it does not require a cloud account, and it does not phone home. Your home is your space.

We haven't locked in a final price yet. Mini Adhan is built with premium materials, including a woven fabric body, brushed aluminium cap with a laser-etched arabesque pattern, and quality stereo speakers, so it looks and sounds like it belongs in your home, not like a gadget you want to hide.

Mini Adhan is a one-off purchase. The adhan, all prayer time calculation methods, reciter selection, mosque offset, per prayer volume, skip mode, casting, and the full web interface are included with the device and are yours forever. No ongoing fees for the core experience.

In the future, we may introduce an optional membership for additional features we're exploring, such as daily hadith recitations, expanded dhikr and adhkar collections, Quran surah scheduling, and seasonal modes for Ramadan. This would help fund the ongoing development and new reciter recordings, but it will always be optional. The device you buy will always do what it was built to do, with no strings attached.
